Chaotic peace and peaceful chaos

Oxymorons certainly, but I would chance to say a lot of people will understand.

There is a good kind of crazy. Singing and dancing along to the radio in the kitchen while making pancakes at 1am – it’s a happy madness. That’s the peaceful chaos.

But there is chaotic peace too. This one is more scary. This is the deafening silence. The quarantine when you are safe inside but still feeling uneasy.

How do these exist? How can we possibly understand peace and quiet, unease and quite, peace and chaos AND unease and chaos?

I don’t have an answer to these questions. But I think we can appreciate all of these combinations. They all have their seasons and reasons. I could focus on puzzling them out, but I would rather just marvel at the capacity of our beings to balance all of these experiences.
